The game comes with a Steam code which has to be redeemed before you can download Starfield. Unfortunately, PC players won’t be able to pre-load the game in anticipation of their Constellation Edition. That way, when it arrives you can simply redeem the game code and it will unlock access to the game. You can save some time by pre-loading Starfield on your Xbox Series X/S in the meantime while you wait for your physical delivery. Once redeemed on either Xbox or PC, you’ll then get to play it as soon as the download is done. The game version, which comes with a watch and carry case, also includes a code for Starfield Premium Edition. If you’ve pre-ordered the super-fancy Constellation Edition, retailers should have the stock ready for collection and delivery tomorrow.
